I am a freshwater ecologist and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Washington. My research focuses on freshwater biodiversity, river conservation, and aquatic–terrestrial linkages across continental scales. I use large-scale ecological datasets and modeling approaches to study how land use, environmental stressors, and river protection influence biodiversity and ecosystem integrity. My recent work explores how healthy rivers support riparian bird communities through aquatic insect emergence.
