- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
I am a biologist trained at Universidad Simón Bolívar, Venezuela, with a Master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. I am currently a research scientist at El Colegio de la Frontera Sur (ECOSUR) in Tabasco, Mexico. My research focuses on the ecological functioning and biodiversity of tropical rivers and streams, particularly in Mexico and Venezuela. Current interests include ecosystem metabolism in non-wadeable rivers, nutrient and sediment transport in lowland rivers, and the effects of land-use change and regional climate dynamics on stream macroinvertebrate communities.
