I am a fluvial geomorphologist and leader of the Science Team at TealWaters. We provide breakthrough solutions for mapping and modeling water on the landscape, and quantifying its benefits to society. From Fort Collins, Colorado, my background is in process-based river restoration and the blurred boundary between academia and practice. After earning my PhD at CSU with Ellen Wohl, I worked for a large adaptive management program to preserve and maintain habitat for Whooping Cranes on the Platte River in Nebraska. After that, I worked in consulting to design and implement beaver-related restoration projects in Colorado. Since joining TealWaters, I utilize my academic and on-the-ground experience to connect our science to real people.
